Public Services Announces 256 Job openings

The Public Service Commission (PSC) has advertised 256 job vacancies across multiple government departments, offering opportunities for qualified Kenyans to apply.

In a notice published on Tuesday in MyGov, the commission outlined a wide range of positions available in key government sectors.

The recruitment drive includes senior roles in the National Treasury, Economic Planning, Immigration Services, Foreign Affairs, and Housing, among others.In the National Treasury, the PSC is seeking to recruit two Senior Deputy Directors, eight Deputy Directors, and five Assistant Directors in Macro and Fiscal Policy.

The State Department for Economic Planning is looking for a Director General of Economic Planning, a Secretary for Economic Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation and Partnerships, and another Secretary for Development, Planning & Policy.

The Department of Immigration Services is also hiring, with vacancies for a Secretary of Integrated Population Registration Services and a Secretary of Civil Registration Services.

Other key ministries with job openings include:Correctional Services: Eight Directors of Probation, three Deputy Directors, and 13 Assistant Directors.

Foreign Affairs: A Director-General for Political and Diplomatic Affairs, a Secretary of Foreign Service Management, and 20 Deputy Directors of Foreign Service Management.

Broadcast and Telecommunications:Three positions, including Secretary of Information and Broadcasting, Public Communication, and Telecommunication & Postal Services.

The Wildlife Department has openings for a Director of Wildlife Policy and Strategy, four Assistant Directors in the same field, and two Assistant Directors in Wildlife Services.

The State Department for Blue Economy and Fisheries is looking to hire two Secretaries for Fisheries and Blue Economy, while the Shipping & Maritime Affairs department is seeking two Directors of Government Clearing Services.

Interested applicants must apply online via the PSC website (www.publicservice.go.ke) or the jobs portal (www.psckjobs.go.ke).The deadline for applications is April 22, 2025, at 5:00 PM.

The Housing and Urban Development sector has the highest number of vacancies, including a Director of Housing Infrastructure, Deputy Directors in Civil Servant Housing Schemes, and various roles in Urban Governance and Estate Management.

Additional positions available include architects, quantity surveyors, structural engineers, land surveyors, and specialists in metropolitan planning and environment.The PSC has warned the public about fraudulent individuals posing as commission staff and soliciting bribes from job seekers.

The commission emphasized that it does not charge any fees for applications, shortlisting, interviews, or appointments.Qualified Kenyans are encouraged to apply before the deadline and visit the PSC website for full job descriptions and application guidelines.
